Winter

The Winter months in Japan are December, January and Febuary.
It snows in Winter.
In Hokkaido the temperature gets to -6 degrees Celsius, or 21 degrees Fahreanheit.
The surrounding cities like Obihiro and Asahikawana are especially cold with temperatures at -30 degrees Celsius, or -22 degrees Fahrenheit.
Winter is also a Rainy season and a season of Typhoon.

Autumn Months

The Autumn months in Japan are September, October and November.

Summer

The Summer months in Japan are June, July and August.
Summer is a very hot time in Japan and sometimes the heat kills people.

Spring Months

The Spring months in Japan are March, April and May.

Basketball

There are two teams.
There is a ball called a basketball.
CLOTHES - They wear joggers, the team singlet and shorts.
There are two hoops or 'rings.'
AIM: The aim of the game is to get the ball into the ring as many times as possible before the time runs out and have scored more points than the other team.
They play on a court.

Bullet Trains is a mode of transport in Japan.
Bullet Trains are the fastest modes of transport in the world.
They aren't square like the normal trains, but round!

Rugby

There are two teams.
You wear shoulder pads, a barred hemet, a mouth guard, a padded shirt and specialised boots.
The teams with the most goals wins.
The fields the play on is a grassed oval.
The goals are posts.
The player with the ball has to try and get it into the opponents goal.
To do it they slide through the goals with the ball.

Auto Racing

Auto Racing is Car Racing.
There is a track and the cars go round and round on it.
AIM - To be the first to do all the laps around the track and cross the finish line first.

Golf

Golf is a sport where you have a golf stick which is a thin pole with a flat bit on the end of it for hitting a golf ball.
Golf balls are small and hard.
You play on a field with hills and dirt patches called bunkers, and the aim of the game is to hit the ball into the hole.

Figure Skating

Figure Skating is a sport done on ice.
Figure Skating is made up of tricks on the ice.
You wear a leotard with a skirt, and skin colour stockings that go over the ice skate, which is also known as a boot.

Karate

Karate is where you learn self defense using a number of kicks and punches.
You wear a white long sleeved top and white pants.
There are eight different types of belts, starting from lowest to highest are: White, Yellow, Green, Brown, Black, Red with White stripe and then Red.

Judo

Judo is a martial art.
It is a fighting and wrestling sport.
You wear suits like in Karate.
They use mainly throws and twists.
Judo means 'Gentle way.'

Kendo

Kendo means 'The way of the sword.'
They use bamboo poles to fight.
In Kendo you wear a headpiece with a cage on the front, a tare which goes around your waist and legs, kote which are gloves and a Do which goes around your upper body.

Baseball

Baseball is a sport where there are two teams.
One team bats and one team fields.
You have to get to home base if you are a batter, while the fielding team has to try and stop you.
There are four bases.
The team with the most runs wins.

AIM: To have the most amount of runs at the end of the game.
